Soko Plug Project
Nairobi | Mombasa | Eldoret | Kisumu | Busia | ManderaSoko Plug
The Soko Plug project is funded by Uk Kenya Tech Hub and implemented by Sote Hub in partnership with KICTANET.
The project aimed to empower MSMEs by enhancing their digital presence, strengthening market access, and promoting e-commerce adoption. Soko Plug provides practical, no-code digital tools and training to help businesses across Mombasa, Busia, and Mandera counties to establish an online presence, integrate e-commerce strategies, and leverage digital marketplaces.
Outcomes
- A remarkable 85% of participating businesses established or significantly enhanced their digital presence
- The digital leap translated into broader market reach, increased visibility, and higher customer engagement
- 42% of the participants began receiving customer inquiries online within two weeks of implementation.
Since joining the program, I have experienced remarkable growth and noticeable improvements in how I run my operations. One of the most transformative aspects has been implementing the Business Model Canvas (BMC) framework. By consistently applying the BMC principles, I have gained clearer strategic direction, improved the value proposition, and strengthened customer engagement. I highly recommend Sote Hub to any entrepreneur seeking structured growth and sustainable business development.
